January ThirtyFirst, Two Thousand Eight.

So... The first youth group blog everrr. And who is writing it? Well, Melissa of course!

So another wonderful night of youth group has come and passed... well, not quite passed. Seeing as there are still thousands upon thousands of youth wandering around the house (not really a thousand, in case you were wondering). The night started off with teenagers rolling in slowly, few by few. Mixed in were a bunch of young adults who were helping out. We had Chris, Aaron, Lacey, Kirsten, Josh and Kristin wandering around aimlessly trying to keep up with our youthful insanity... ok... maybe I'm getting a little carried away with this thing. How about I show you some pictures and share the excitement?

Skateboarding is quite popular with the kids and the teens. Everyone loves it when Henry brings his skateboard...

Video games were then brought to attention and the rest ran off to the kitchen table to play the magnificent game of Apples to Apples.

After all the fun and games we headed downstairs for prayer groups, guys and girls.

I have to say, I am a girl, and therefore was unable to get as many pictures of the guys...

And now we are upstairs... having fun, and hanging out.

Some randoms perhaps?

So here's my idea...

Welcome to the Calvary Bible Student Ministries blog!

I'd like to think that this blog would be interesting if each week I posted an update on what the Youth (or should I say "Teens"?) are up to.....but I have a feeling that would be painfully boring to read. In an attempt to avoid boredom I came up with this fabulous idea!!

This is what I would like to see happen...

Each week I am going to assign (according to willingness of course) a youth member to do the updating and picture taking for the blog. I plan to hand the camera over..and allow them to take pictures and post their perspective of the youth meeting that night. I will have the students do this from my computer before they leave for the evening.

I am hoping that this will bring about some interesting input from our youth as well as give people a better understanding of what actually goes on here at the Parsonage on Thursday nights! I also hope that this will be a fun project each week for the youth!

So with that said, I hope to start this tonight! Any takers on who wants to go first??!
